Food (4/5): Their fish has always been so fresh and quality. My favorite if the salmon and I love the striations on the fish, which indicates the quality of salmon. I like to get their nigiri but beware they do put wasabi in between the rice and fish. It's extremely potent for me so I usually scrape it off. The cuts are also quite large leaving me full with the 7 piece combo, roll, and miso soup. I love their different combinations where you could pair sushi with a bowl of your choice. It's a lot of food! They have bentos, rice plates, ramen, udon, and more. Service (5/5): the wait staff is very friendly and the food comes out fast! Ambiance (3/5): A small hole in the wall. It maybe has like 10 tables. Perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner. I noticed sushi island gets a lot of to go orders. Price (5/5): Relatively cheap prices for quality Japanese food!

It seems as it fits family owned sushi spot! I ordered a combo plate that came with sushi, teriyaki chicken, rice, and a side salad. It was definitely worth it, would go again!
